Check out inauguration of Miss Global Beauty Rwanda 2022

Rwanda is on the way for Miss Global Beauty Rwanda 2022, second edition are underway to select four girls for the international beauty pageant to be held this year.

This year’s edition will be held physically unlike last year where most of the competition stages were held virtually due to the pandemic. The girls who will be selected from the semifinals will attend a boot camp to train and prepare them so they get to know what the international pageants needs.

This competition was Organised by Embrace Africa in Rwanda, the pageant aims at giving contestants a platform to compete at different beauty contests around the world.

According to Paulette Ndekwe, the country representative of Embrace Africa, a total of 149 young women aspired to contest at this pageant but only 68 were able to meet the criteria of the competition.

She revealed that before the voting kicks off the girls will have a headshot challenge which is usually common in international pageants to see how well they can do. The pre selections will be held on May 28, giving a chance 25 to 30 girls who will get a nod to compete for the next stage.

Miss Global Beauty Rwanda will represent the country in more than one international pageant, the Miss Globe Rwanda will compete in Miss Globe 2022 in Albania, Miss Teen Universe Rwanda will also represent the country at the competition in Miami, USA and Miss Africa Golden Rwanda will be in Lagos or Turkey to compete.

This annual beauty pageant in Rwanda, organised by Embrace Africa  aims at giving more Rwandan women an opportunity to represent Rwanda in more international beauty pageants.

Two winners for last year’s edition attended international pageants and according to them, they represented the country well. Stella Matutina who was crowned Miss Tourism Global Rwanda was ranked among best performers even though she didn’t win. Landrine Uwicyeza represented Rwanda at Miss Africa Golden and was crowned third runner up.

This year the competition comes bigger with titles of Miss Global Beauty Rwanda 2022, Miss Globe Rwanda, Miss Teen Universe Rwanda and Miss Africa Golden Rwanda.
